Event FAQs

What is this event?

This one-day e-symposium is presented by the Canadian Research Network for Care in the Community (www.CRNCC.ca) with funding from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. It will feature international experts from Denmark, the Netherlands, and the U.S., as well as change leaders from regions across Ontario who will talk first-hand about their trials and triumphs with Aging at Home. Through presentations and interactive discussions, this event aims to satisfy:

  • What is the current state of Aging at Home in Ontario?
  • What transferable best practices and lessons learned can be drawn from other countries?
  • What has worked? What hasn’t? What needs to be done ?
  • What are best bets for the road ahead?

The e-symposium will be web-cast live providing virtual access to local, national and international audiences including policy-makers, health and social service providers, professional associations, consumers, and students.  Audience members will also have the opportunity to virtually interact with e-symposium presenters.  Proceedings will subsequently be available on-line in both full and condensed formats.
